HOW TO CARE INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
- Be gentle with the piece and make sure not to place anything with sharp edges that could scratch or harm it.
- Cotton-based microfiber cloths are great for pieces that have wood, mother of pearl and brass inlays.
WOOD
- Wood is a natural material and should be handled with care.
- Clean wood surfaces with a dry cotton towel, do not use synthetic fabrics as they can cause surface scratches.
- Avoid using wax-based polishes and polishes containing silicone. These products will accumulate in crevasses and will contaminate the finish of the piece.
BRASS
- Most brass accessories and inlays are coated for protection and shine, to clean them use a dry cotton cloth.
- To polish brass use small quantities of specialized brass polish on a cotton cloth, polish only the brass areas then wipe away with a dry cloth.
MOTHER OF PEARL
- Most mother of pearl accessories and inlays are coated for protection and shine, to clean them use a dry cotton cloth.
ACRYLIC
- Use only the softest cotton cloth.
- Avoid ammonia-based products. When in doubt stick with warm water, as you don’t want the finish to cloud, then dry with a cotton cloth.
